What should I do for my boyfriend’s parents for Christmas?
My boyfriend and I are in a serious relationship. We live together and have been together for almost a year. We are very happy together, however, his parents and I havent met yet as they are uncomfortable with the age difference between him and I. My parents have an age difference themselves, and aren’t bothered by mine and my boyfriend’s 30 year age gap. However, I get the feeling that my boyfriend’s mother thinks I’m not good enough for her son being this much younger than him, and she has basically refused to meet me so far, despite plenty of opportunities.
For Christmas, I was thinking of sending them a holiday bouquet of flowers with a nice note attached saying something like, “Wishing you both a joyous holiday season. Hope to you meet you soon. Love xxxx” Does anyone have any advice dealing with this? Any other/better ideas?
Ness has a good idea, also you might want to ask your boyfriend what he thinks they would like. Don’t worry about the age gap though. My husband is 22 years older than me and my in-laws don’t care about the age difference nor do my parents.
